Aussies Can Follow WSOP Action Online

This week, the 2019 World Series of Poker gets underway at the Rio Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. For all of the Aussie poker players unable to make the trip to Vegas, there are ways to not only keep up with all the WSOP action online, but watch some of the final tables, too.

Watch All The WSOP Action Online

The WSOP action will start this week, with cash games and satellites at the Rio beginning on Tuesday, May 28. The first of the 89 bracelet events will subsequently kick-off on Wednesday, May 29. Some players have already flown halfway around the world – from Australia to Vegas – to play in the series. Meanwhile, others will be on their way in the coming weeks for the latter half of the events, or for the flagship WSOP Main Event that begins July 3.

This News Page

First things first, this page will be posting news about any Aussie making a WSOP final table or winning a gold bracelet throughout the series. Bookmark the news page to stay up-to-date on everyone from Joe Hachem to James Obst, and any new players that are up-and-coming poker stars.

Live Updates

As in many years past, the World Series of Poker is teaming up with PokerNews to provide live WSOP action online updates throughout each of the 89 gold bracelet events happening this summer.

The best place to access the updates is on the WSOP website. By clicking on the 2019 WSOP option and then the event of choice, viewers can see all of the updates from each event as posted, as well as event payouts, prize pools, structures, chip counts, and photos.

These updates will be available on the website and the app, both from the WSOP and PokerNews.

Live Streaming

The big news this year came last week when Poker Central announced a deal with CBS Sports. The two entities are teaming up to bring live streaming coverage of 41 of the final tables.

All of the WSOP action online will be called by a variety of poker pros and guests hosts. The primary commentators, however, will be Lon McEachern, Ali Nejad, and David Tuchman.

Poker Central will offer some final table coverage via its PokerGO outlet, which is a subscription website that offers a plethora of poker shows, documentaries, tournaments, and more. And with that subscription comes this WSOP coverage.

• Monthly price: $10 per month
• Yearly price: $99 paid at one time equals $8.25 per month

The CBS streaming will take place on CBS All Access, another subscription site. While there will be free highlights on CBSSports.com, the CBS mobile app, and the CBS Sports HQ network, there is a subscription fee for CBS All Access for the entire livestreams.

  • Free 7-day trial
  • Monthly price: $5.99 per month
  • Yearly price: $59.99 paid at one time equals $4.99 per month

Some of the events will be live-streamed on both sites, so it is probably best to check out the entire schedule from Poker Central here before deciding on which subscription is best, or if both are worth it.
