Two Western Australian locals are really feeling the festive cheer after winning nearly AU$1 million each. This weekend saw two Division 1 winners.
So, where did these lucky winners buy their tickets? One winner bought their winning lottery ticket at Fremantle’s Woolstores Lottery Centre & News, whereas the other was bought online through Lotterywest membership.
Festive Feels All Around
Each of the tickets is valued at AU$976 274, both of which remain unclaimed. These two ticket winners mark WA’s 60th and 61st Division 1 wins for the year.
Rex Bassett, a store owner, smiling from ear to ear claims that the locals of Fremantle are all hoping for their Christmases to feel a little more festive. In doing so, they are queuing out the door in hopes that they can be the next lucky winner.
Bassett claims that he feels like Santa. In the Christmas spirit, he states, “People are getting their tickets and checking them twice…”
Will the Festive Cheer Spread?
Bassett claims that he really hopes to deliver yet another Division 1 win. He hopes to do so in the Megadraw to which he mentions that it would definitely provide a happy New Year.
That would undoubtedly be a happy New Year with a whopping AU$30 million on offer on Saturday the 30th of December. Pina Compagnone, the spokeswoman for Lotterywest states that momentum for the Megadraw is increasing as it gets closer and closer to the time.
Compagnone goes on to say that they are all really hoping that Western Australia will once again prove to be the state of luck and festive cheer. She mentions that many tickets have already been bought and continue to do so.
Compagnone says that not only will the locals be delighted to win hundreds of thousands of Australian Dollars, but the WA community is estimated to generate AU$5.3 million in ticket sales.
We at Casino Aus, truly hope that the festivities in Western Australia continue as local Aussie gamblers emerge as winners.
