Microgaming™ is one of the oldest and highest recognized providers of online casino software in the in the industry. Soon after they established themselves in 1994, they launched the first Internet Casino, the Gaming Club. Since then Microgaming™ has thrived and excelled with the release of their Viper software in 2002.
This does not come as big news that the software developer is helping charities around the world though money donations, seeing that they have been having charity fever since 2013, around the Christmas holiday fever.
Microgaming™ Charity Initiative
The charity initiative works through Microgaming clients and business contacts being asked to share their opinion on charities from four different regions. The ones that receive the most votes in their region get chosen. The charities will receive a donation from the software developer comprising of a lump sum of money, e.g. last year each charity received £7,500.
Last year the chosen charities were WWF, Chiva, The British Red Cross and the Cure Cancer Australia Foundation.
This year, after the votes were in, in December 2014, the charities chosen for donations were; Medicines Sans Frontiers in Africa, White Ribbon in Australia, Change Heroes in Asia and the Hospice Isle of Man. Each of these charities will receive £7,500 in order to help them help other people in need.
The initiative has seen a lot of success in these two years and it is a product of the Play Forward branch of Microgaming.
