Lottoland Among 2019 EGR B2B Awards Winners

EGR hosts awards each year for gaming operators, marketing and innovation, and B2B. On June 25th, the 2019 EGR B2B Awards were then hosted at the Tower of London.

Anytime EGR hosts an awards night, it’s a big deal. In fact, executives of all ranks travel the world to attend EGR functions because of the chance to network and give and get recognition for work in various realms of the gambling industry.

What is EGR B2B?

EGR stands for eGaming Review and has been a leader in the online gambling world for many years. From news to analysis, research to various compliance and technology services, EGR does it all. And several times each year, the company subsequently takes the time to hand out awards and honour those who have stood out in their respective fields.

Moreover, the B2B awards are set up to celebrate service providers, recognising their achievements in various areas of online gaming disciplines, including betting and gaming software, mobile offerings, payment processing, recruitment, networks, technology, and infrastructure.

Choosing 2019 EGR B2B Awards Winners

The EGR B2B Awards nomination phase takes place from February/March through April. Judges then analyse the submissions, score them, write summaries of their thoughts, and submit them for final calculations.

In the meantime, Deloitte oversees the entire voting process to ensure transparency and integrity.

The judges have a range of online gaming expertise, with a new panel chosen each year. Once the judging process is complete, the names of all judges are revealed to the public.

Aussie Notables

– Betsoft, Microgaming, Live Casino

Betsoft Gaming won for innovation in RNG casino software. In addition, the firm happens to be one of the most popular game developers for Aussie casinos online. The award notes then highlighted that the titles it has released in the past year offer a different perspective and scored very highly for their role-play components.

Microgaming took the award for innovation in slot provision. Needless to say, that innovation has been clear to Aussie pokies players. The judges noted that the software is high-quality and delivers fast despite the large size of the company.

The live casino supplier of the year was Evolution Gaming. That was also no surprise as it remains the world’s largest live casino supplier. Furthermore, it continues to improve its casino games, offering new variations and betting options on a consistent basis. As live dealer games become more popular on every Australian casino online, Evolution stays on top of its game.

– Live Casino, Yggdrasil, NetEnt, Lottoland

Meanwhile, Yggdrasil took the honor of RNG casino supplier of the year, and its games are becoming more popular on the world’s largest online casinos. The judges commented that its games are strong and produced with richer and better production than many of its competitors.

NetEnt being named as the winner in the slot supplier category should be no surprise, too. After all, its games are among the most desired among internet slots players. The note attached to the award subsequently cited a consistent cross-jurisdictional roadmap that makes NetEnt stand out, and the company has shown success across all categories.

One of the most interesting winners of the night was Lottoland for top lottery supplier of the year. Interestingly, Lottoland has been the subject of several lawsuits and under recent scrutiny by Australian government sectors due to complaints from state-sanctioned lottery providers. As Lottoland offers jackpot-style lottery games that some say compete with traditional lotteries in Australia, the company is under investigation. Lottoland continues to fight for its right to operate for Aussies, though, because it says the competition is healthy and the lotteries are legal.
