First Aussie Millions Winners Announced – Australia 2017
With the Aussie Millions kicking off, the Crown Casino hosted not only the top poker players but Tennis pros as well. As the poker tournament carried on in the poker room at the casino, the likes of Garbine Muguruza, Agnieszka Radwańska and Aussie Nick Kyrgio attended the glitzy IMG Australian Open Party.
The weekend was indeed a buzz with James Chen announced as the first winner on Friday, with Thomas Muhlocker and local Australian player Robert Raymond claiming top spots on Monday.
POKER FACES PAID OFF
Indeed a great victory for James Chen winning one of the coveted ANTON rings and a prize of $39,700. Chen beat 49 other hopefuls during the multi-disciplined H.O.R.S.E tournament, which combines limit Omaha Hi-Lo, limit Texas hold’em, limit Razz, limit 7-card stud, and limit 7-card stud Hi-Lo.
Local Aussie winner Robert Raymond claimed victory over No-Limit Hold’em for $320,830, while Thomas Muhlocker triumphed over the Shot Clock Shootout winning $40,125.
AUSSIE MILLIONS FIXTURES
As the Pokerstars Championships comes to a close in the Bahamas, things are heating up in Melbourne with 22 ANTON rings to be claimed as well as millions to be won. Upcoming events at the Aussie Millions include the:
- $25,000 Challenge on January 21-22, 2017
- $10,000 Main Event on January 22-30, 2017
- $100,000 Challenge on January 23-24, 2017
- $250,000 Challenge on January 29-31, 2017
The main event will run over eight days and comes with a $10,600 entry fee. The winner of this main event will not only receive the $1.6 million first prize but the Main Event Champion bracelet valued at over AUD$25,000.
With thousands of hopefuls from all around the world competing for the coveted title, the Aussie Millions is indeed the Poker event to watch this 2017.
