New Online Slot From Red Rake Gaming: Lorelei’s Pearls

Red Rake Gaming has a diversity of games that is all too rare in the online casino industry. Its latest release, Lorelei’s Pearls, is an ideal example of what the longtime game developer offers.

The team at Red Rake has been creating new online casino games since 2011 in one form or another, and its experience shows. Not only do its developers produce unique titles and themes for their games, they vary their releases, too. For example, prior to the undersea paradise of Lorelei’s Pearls, Red Rake released Wild Animals, before that it was Million Dracula, and Super 15 Stars preceded that one. Every game is fresh and exciting.

Lorelei’s Pearls gives players a character – a mermaid, no less – to follow through the game. Lorelei keeps watch over her underworld, a blue-green and bubble-filled paradise at the bottom of the sea.

Red Rake released the game on September 24, and it is already becoming popular with Aussie online slots players, both on desktop computers and mobile devices.

Lorelei’s Pearls Basics and Payouts

The grid is standard, with five reels and three rows. It blends perfectly into the seascape in the background, complete with rock formations, fish, and an octopus or two. The music is punctuated by the sound of crashing waves, and island instruments play some relaxing sounds perfect for ocean time.

There are 25 paylines in the game. And the RTP (return-to-player) is 95.4%.

The maximum payout from Lorelei’s Pearls is 2000x the bet. Speaking of bets, players can start as low as $0.25 per spin. The options then increase to $0.50, $0.75, $1, $1.50, $2, $3, $5, $7.50, $10, $15, $25, and $35 as the max bet.

When playing at the minimum bet of $0.25 per spin, these are the following payouts for five-of-a-kind symbols on a payline:

  • Dolphin = $1.00
  • Lobster = $1.00
  • Stingray = $0.80
  • Seahorse = $0.60
  • Letter A = $0.40
  • Letters K, Q, or J = $0.20 each

We should also note that the “Bonus” pearl symbol is worth $0.02 for three.

In addition, the dolphin on an active payline serves as a wild symbol to make a winning combination. It can substitute for all symbols except the Bonus pearl. And when it does substitute for another symbol, the dolphin doubles that win.

Lorelei’s Pearls Gameplay and Features

The obvious goal of the game is to find Lorelei’s pearls. They are in the oyster shells, and they may appear on the first, third, and fifth reels at random. When three of them do appear, they trigger the Free Spins bonus round.

During the Free Spins, the lowest value symbols are absent, making room for more higher paying symbols. And the player receives 15 free spins during which the bonus money accumulates.

There is another symbol unmentioned thus far because it is special and triggers a particular feature. Lorelei herself may appear in full mermaid form. When three images of her appear on the second, third, and fourth reels, she triggers the Lorelei Fusion Minigame.

That minigame begins with three spins. Before the round begins, seven Lorelei symbols appear on the grid randomly and start at the lowest win value. That number is displayed on the symbol. Also, if Lorelei symbols appear next to each other, they combine for larger symbols that increase the chances of winning paylines.

Players can find the pay table for Lorelei symbols by clicking on the green “pay table” button to the left of the balance box under the grid.

A new symbol appears in the minigame, a tiny octopus in a triangular box. When it appears, it will stay for the rest of the spins. It also pushes the number of remaining spins back up to three. These symbols also merge to form combinations. The highest-ranking combination is the one paid after its value is multiplied by the accumulated progressive amount.

The player can track that progressive amount on the chart to the left of the grid.

Should the player fill every spot on the reel with the octopus symbols, he or she will win the Grand Jackpot.

How to Play Lorelei’s Pearls

The Lorelei Fusion Minigame is more complicated than the Free Spins. Red Rake wants players to understand the game before diving in for real money online casino play. And the developer makes this available with a demo game on its website for players 18 and over.

Since this is not something offered by all developers, Red Rake endears itself to its fans with some free-play of its latest games.

King Johnnie Casino has been waiting for the latest Red Rake game and features it in the new games’ “promotion” section of its site. Players can also find Lorelei’s Pearls at Wild Card City.
