Taco Brothers is an online pokie that has been designed and developed by Elk Studios. The game is set in the Mexican village of Santa Maria in 1881, when Captain Diaz arrives in town. Diaz plays the part of the game’s villain, on a mission to steal everyone’s Tacos. This is where the three Taco Brothers, Paso, Pepe and Pico come in to try and stop Captain Diaz. The game’s story may be a little on the silly side but the end result is an online pokie that has plenty of features, impressive graphics and is fun to play.
Taco Brothers Graphics and Theme
As the name would suggest, Taco Brothers is a Mexican-themed online pokie. The visual design is completely based around the theme with a backdrop of Mexico visible through the transparent reels. The game has a cartoony feel to the graphics but it really works and the game looks absolutely fantastic on the whole.
As for the game’s symbols, they are all Mexican-themed symbols and thankfully, there are no boring playing card symbols. The three Taco brothers make appearances on the reels, as well as a bottle of tequila, a cactus and some mining equipment.
Taco Brother Features
Taco Brothers features a fairly standard five-reel design, however, it has impressive 243 different ways to win, which will make many players happy. The game also includes a Wild and Scatter to help the player stand a better chance of winning big.
The Wild is represented by a golden bell and can stand in for any other symbol to create a winning combination, with the exception of the scatter of course. Speaking of, the Scatter is represented by a Locked Safe but there is also a secondary Wild, which is the Taco Brothers Wild. Landing two of these will make the game re-spin a reel that does not contain a Wild or Scatter.
The Bonus Round is something that Elk Studios also worked very hard on and it shows. Triggered by landing three Scatters, the round begins with a multiplier being chosen that will be applied to all bonus winnings.
Once players move on to the proper bonus round, all spins will be free. One of the brothers will move onto the reel and act as a Wild, moving to the left with every spin in an attempt to reach the left-hand side of the reel.
The brother is stopped by one of the special symbols for the Bonus Round, Captain Diaz himself. When he appears, he will imprison any of the brothers on the reel. Thankfully his daughter, the other bonus symbol, is on the brother’s side and she will free any imprisoned brother when she appears. The bonus round will only end when all three of the Taco Brothers have been imprisoned.
Taco Brothers Conclusion
After trying out Taco Brothers for a decent amount of time, we have to say we really enjoyed it. The visual design is really attractive and the animations were perfect. The base game may not be anything too unique but the bonus round more than makes up for that and is well worth checking out when you can.
