Aussie Millions Poker Championship is the richest and esteemed poker series in the Asia-Pacific region. The tournament is held every January at the Crown Casino in Melbourne Australia.

Aussie Millions is one of the biggest poker tournament worldwide, with the participation of over 2 000 Australian and international players. For the 2017 tournament, there will be the main event, the AUD$250 000 high roller challenge and the AUD$25 000 and AUD$100 000 tournament challenges. It is expected to attract the top Poker players once again in worldwide, especially in Australia.

The Poker tournament is set to take place from 11 January to 30 January 2017. 26 official championship events are scheduled to be held during the event. The buy-ins will range from AUD$1 150 to AUD$250 000.

A cash prize for the main event is expected to be AUD$1.6 million. Players will also receive the championship bracelet with the estimated valued of AUD$25 000.

The Poker tournament will begin with a $10 600 buy-in Aussie Million Main Event which will be over eight successive days. It will be from 22 January until 29 January 2017. The main event will feature three starting flights starting from 22 Jan for the first flight, 23 Jan second flight and 24 Jan for the third flight.

With the Aussie Millions kicking off, the Crown Casino hosted not only the top poker players but Tennis pros as well. As the poker tournament carried on in the poker room at the casino, the likes of Garbine Muguruza, Agnieszka Radwańska and Aussie Nick Kyrgio attended the glitzy IMG Australian Open Party. The weekend was indeed a buzz with James Chen announced as the first winner on Friday, with Thomas Muhlocker and local Australian player Robert Raymond claiming top spots on Monday.

Indeed a great victory for James Chen winning one of the coveted ANTON rings and a prize of $39,700. Chen beat 49 other hopefuls during the multi-disciplined H.O.R.S.E tournament, which combines limit Omaha Hi-Lo, limit Texas hold’em, limit Razz, limit 7-card stud, and limit 7-card stud Hi-Lo. Local Aussie winner Robert Raymond claimed victory over No Limit Hold’em for $320,830, while Thomas Muhlocker triumphed over the Shot Clock Shootout winning $40,125.


As the Pokerstars Championships comes to a close in the Bahamas, things are heating up in Melbourne with 22 ANTON rings to be claimed as well as millions to be won. Upcoming events at the Aussie Millions include the:
