Released In January: Book of Tombs
The main character in Book of Tombs aims to find treasures of Ancient Egypt. There are precious jars preserved through the ages and gold-plated statues, all holding the secret to fortune. The soundtrack easily melts into the background but delivers suspense similar to that of an action film.
As for the basics of the game, the RTP (return-to-player) is lower than normal but the number of features and max win potential make up for that.

In this game, the Wild and Scatter are the same golden book, and it is one of the highest paying symbols at 200x for five on a payline. At the beginning of the free spins, one symbol is chosen at random to be an Expanding symbol. The game may actually choose up to nine different ones. Every time the player retriggers the free spins, another symbol becomes an Expanding one. The Cash Pig is the player’s ticket to Las Vegas. From the iconic casinos to images of private jets and fancy cars, everything about the game exemplifies Sin City. The Eiffel Tower of the Paris Casino is front and center, with others like the Flamingo and Caesars making an appearance as well. The music is a bit of a piano-based jazzy number that feels very “Las Vegas.”
Again, the RTP is close to 95%, which isn’t great, but the max win and exciting features keep players coming back. This is also not the game for lowest of the low-rollers, as the minimum bet is $0.30, not the usual $0.10.

Cash Pig Features

The Piggy Bank is the signature feature of Cash Pig. It happens during the base game when gold coins can land on the first, second, third, and fourth reels. Each coin will display a dollar value or multiplier, the latter of which can range from 1x to 50x. The key to cashing out is to find the gold Cash Pig on the fifth reel, which allows the player to collect all winnings from the coins.
The champagne glasses are the Scatter symbols, which may land on the first, third, and fifth reels. Three of them in total award 12 free spins. If the Scatters appear again in the bonus spins, the player wins an additional six free spins.
During the free spins, there are two things to watch above the reels. On the left is the “Eliminated” box that shows the 10, J, Q, K, and A symbols. Each time one forms a win, an X marks it out on the “Eliminated” box so as not to appear again. And when those symbols disappear, cascading tiles create another chance for a win.
Again, during the free spins, the box above the reels on the right is “Upgraded.” This works in reverse of the low symbols. If a major symbol appears in a winning combination, it will upgrade to its golden version. As mentioned earlier, that doubles its payout value.

In a different way from Book of Tombs, Sphinx Fortune puts players directly into Ancient Egypt, complete with detailed hieroglyphics on the columns and gold statutes that literally sparkle. The music is an ode to the time period, but the graphics are more impressive than anything.
Despite the RTP being under 95%, the game does seem to be a bit more payout-friendly than most high-volatility games.

The big payouts are not in the basic symbols, which is why the highest-paying one – the Egyptian queen – only pays 5x the bet. The animal gods are also among the major symbols. And there are no numbers or letters as minor symbols, they’re card suits on stone in hieroglyphic form.
Sphinx Fortune Features
One of the most unique and exciting features in Sphinx Fortune is the Nudging Wild Multiplier. When the golden mummy case, which is the Wild) appears, it can substitute for all other symbols except the Scatter and Bonus. When the wild appears on any spin, it starts somewhere on the reel. It will then nudge down, little by little, to cover the reel. As it does, it adds a multiplier for each nudge. That means the payout for that line can be up to 4x.
There are free spins as well. Three Scatter symbols on the middle reels will award eight free spins, which can then retrigger again during the free spins round.
During free spins, the Nudging Wild Multipliers are sticky, meaning they stay in place for the rest of the round. They can also award unlimited multipliers at this time.
The Pyramid Hold and Win feature is the highlight of the game, so much so that Booming Games put it in the title. When the Bonus symbol lands on the two outside reels, the Pyramid Bonus begins. The three respins on the special grid begin in a search for coins of various amounts. Each time a new coin appears, the respin count resets back to three.
When the spins finish, the game tallies them into a win total. At that time, the screen cracks open to reveal a multiplier wheel. That spins to multiply the win total up to 10x.
