New Online Casino Game: Snake Arena

A knight takes his position at an old castle, defending the land and prepared to fight for the king. In Snake Arena, that knight must be prepared to do battle with…a snake.

Relax Gaming’s latest release skillfully combines a proper knight fight with dragon-like snakes and turns into an entertaining and exciting online casino game.

Introducing Relax Gaming

In an online entertainment environment in which companies jockey for position and dominance, a company like Relax Gaming comes in with its work speaking for itself. It is why anyone is welcome to go the Relax website and play any game for free.

The developers at Relax have covered everything from online bingo and poker to casino games, both for desktop and mobile devices.

Having released such popular titles as Tower Tumble, Let’s Get Ready to Rumble, El Dorado, and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Megaways, it makes sense that Relax would introduce a unique game with a creative theme like Snake Arena for the new year of 2020.

Snake Arena is a game tailor-made for the Aussie online casino gaming market.

Snake Arena Overview

This online slot game is a 5×5 grid set up in the middle of a castle. Players look at the grid inside the castle as if looking down from the sky. The orange lights on in the castle highlight the fiery-orange colors that light up with wild columns and free spins.

The story at the beginning of the game shows that the little knights had a snake – looking more like a fire-breathing dragon – chained up near the castle. But when they taunt the snake one too many times, said snake gets a little angry and tries to eat them.

Labeled as a high-variance game, Snake Arena has an RTP (return-to-player) of 96.25%.

Payouts for Snake Arena

There are 30 paylines in the latest offering from Relax Gaming, and wins can pay as high as 2758.8x the player’s bet.

Betting starts at $0.10 per spin and can increase up to $100.00 per spin.

The symbols pay out as follows, with five of them on a payline and playing at $1.00 per spin:

  • Golden crown = $20
  • Green snake eye = $10
  • Sword in a ham = $5
  • Beer mug = $4
  • Tokens (gold, bronze, platinum, or silver) = $2 each

Snake Arena Features and Gameplay

There are several fun features in Snake Arena.

The Wild Chase feature is triggered randomly. The reels begin spinning on their own as the words “Wild Chase” appear over them. As the reels continue to spin, a knight appears at the bottom of the screen and the snake on top. If they appear on the same reel, it turns wild. Anywhere from one to five reels can turn wild during the feature.

Speaking of wilds, there are two of them in the game that can substitute for any other symbol. The knight is one of them, and the other is the snake. The snake head usually appears, but any part of the snake serves as a wild symbol.

If the snake’s head and the knight both appear from a single spin, that triggers the Free Spin bonus round and pits the snake against the mighty (small and quite scared) knight.

Before every spin, the snake moves toward the knight on the grid. If the snake reaches the knight, it eats him, which results in the snake growing in length. This is not good for the player, as the snake body can crash into itself and end the Free Spins feature. If the snake fills up all positions, this also ends the feature but does award a prize of 1000x the betting stake.

Both features have the potential for very significant payouts.

Other Notes About Snake Arena

If the online casino chooses the extra feature to go with Snake Arena, this will appear in the lowest left of the screen, just above the volume button. It says “Free Spins” and “Buy.” This can be done in the base game. The cost is 70x the current bet but guarantees that the Free Spins feature will be triggered

By letting the game sit without spinning for a good amount of time, the snake will rattle, owls will hoot, wolves will howl, and other wild noises will take over for the typical music that plays during gameplay.

This game is quite fun and unique. The knights are funny and cute, and the 5×5 reel creates great payline opportunities with every spin. The features are very exciting and potentially lucrative.

Where to Play Snake Arena

One of the major Australian online casinos that jumped at the chance to offer Snake Arena was Playamo Casino.

More casinos may pick up Snake Arena in the months to come.
